Career Connections

Talking to a neighbour can be an enriching experience

The PCCA was founded in 2022 to bring residents together to meet, discuss, share information and build community. Our new Career Connections Program enables residents from all walks of life to talk about their job or their education with others seeking career or educational advice. We are pairing experienced residents ("Mentors") with other residents ("Mentees") who want to learn from that experience.

Looking to talk to someone who's doing your dream job? Or who went to school where you hope to go? Sign up as a Mentee in our Career Connect Program.

Interested in helping young people make important life decisions? Sign up as a Mentor!

Time commitment is minimal: Mentors need to agree to meet two times with a Mentee seeking information, for up to 30 minutes per time. This can be over the phone, on video conference or even in a public space like the library, community building or a cafe. Mentors and Mentees never meet up at their place of residence to preserve the privacy of both parties.

Currently we have Mentors with the following career, profession or educational backgrounds:

Civil engineer, Video game producer, Project manager, Lawyer, Executive at a tech company, Marketing Director, and more!

NOTE: No matches will be made until both parties agree that they are ready. Want to know more? Please read our guidelines.
