Introduction
Welcome to the Pointe-Claire Citizens' Association website
The Pointe-Claire Citizens’ Association was formed in 2022 to foster and promote citizenship among residents of the City of Pointe-Claire and further the recreational, cultural and social interests of our City’s population.
Our Association is a public forum that promotes citizen engagement, free association and civil society. We cooperate with City Council in promoting the general interests and welfare of the community and with other organizations that support similar endeavours in Pointe-Claire.
Pointe-Claire is a suburban city located west of Montreal, in Quebec, Canada.
Our volunteer association was formed in 2022 by a handful of civic-minded citizens to promote and maintain in residents an interest in their city’s affairs, prompting and engaging citizenship among the residents of our city by furthering their recreational, cultural and social interests.
The Association was founded on May 12,2022 and included four committee members.
The Citizens’ Association also launched an online FAQ, a purely voluntary effort. Many people had common questions about the city, how it operates, and how to best address issues.
As a new Association, we are excited to build a solid foundation, and grow in the direction which is most valuable for the citizens of our city.
We also operate a Facebook page for announcements and light discussion purposes: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100086489378414
We invite you to learn more about our Association by exploring our website.
